Who is Lucia Caminos?

Lucia is one of GTA 6's two playable protagonists and a landmark for the franchise — the first major, non-optional female lead with a voice actress in a mainline Grand Theft Auto. Earlier games had silent or optional female characters, but never one at the centre of the single-player story.

Rockstar's profile traces her toughness back to childhood: her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk, and life has been swinging at her ever since. Fighting for her family is what landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary; sheer luck is what got her out. She comes away with a single rule — only smart moves from here.

What makes Lucia different from the usual GTA lead is that she isn't reluctant. She wants the good life her mother dreamed of back in their Liberty City days, but unlike her mom's half-baked fantasies, Lucia is prepared to take it herself — choosing the criminal path deliberately, as the fastest route to the life her family was denied.

Her role in the story

If Jason is the brakes, Lucia is the accelerator. The story is built as a two-hander and she's the driving force — the partner with the ambition and the plan, steering the pair from small-time robberies toward something far larger across the state of Leonida.

The trailers have shown her range: leaving the penitentiary in a prison jumpsuit, training in a boxing gym, riding a motorcycle, moving through Vice City nightclubs, holding stacks of cash in the passenger seat of a Declasse Tulip, and lining up store robberies alongside Jason.
